One of the 19 sons of Osama bin Laden, Omar bin Laden, paints a portrait of the most infamous terrorist in the world. Not his father. He does it with his mother, Najwa, through books “Growing up as bin Laden: Osama’s wife and son reveal their secret world” (”Growing Up bin Laden: Osama` s Wife and Son Take Us Inside Their Secret World ” ).

Excerpt from “Growing up as bin Laden: Osama and his son’s wife reveals their secret world”:

“Once I started to think, my father perceived as a calm man, no matter what would happen because he believes that whatever your life is in God’s hands. For this reason I am hard to imagine I was so excited when my mother has told him that I was born a little and has lost the keys.

After a frantic search, I was told that he placed her mother rushed to the car and started with a reckless speed. Luckily, had just bought a new car, the latest Mercedes, because that day all the facilities tested the car. I was told it was gold, a color so beautiful that I imagined the vehicle as a golden carriage making their way through avenues filled with palm trees in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Shortly after chaotic journey, I made an appearance, becoming the fourth child of my parents. I was just one of many in a chain of strong personalities in the bin Laden family. My father, though still and silent in many ways, was always a man that nobody else would have control. My paternal grandfather, Mohammed Awad bin Laden, was also famous for his strong character.

After the premature death of his father, who left behind a grieving widow and four children, grandfather of bin Laden and knew where to grab a life where he will lead. He was the eldest of children, just 11 years.
