“Omg! The Sky is Falling!” Says La City Counsel

The "Green Rush" has taken over the city of Los Angeles California, as the pro cannabis movements shout "Yes We Cannabis!". Since the presidents statement that they won’t go after medical marijuana, movers and shakers everywhere are trying to get their piece of the pie.

“The Sky is Falling!” Screams LA City Counsel

This writer is just floored at the aptitude of the LA city counsel to make it seem like the “green rush” and influx of Marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles are going to make the sky fall in on them.

I mean seriously, how did these elected officials get into office in California of all places? The state of Marijuana Inc, the state of Progressive Health. How could they have really wanted to be a part of a counsel of a city in a state that passed medical marijuana as free and legal to patients nearly 10 years ago? Did they really think about it?  With around 60% of the population there being pro-legalization and pro-choice, did they really think they could stamp out the cannabis movements?

Yet somehow they feel the sky is falling, because the moment our dear president decided not to put federal funds into hunting down medicinal marijuana patients, the clinics started popping up everywhere like star bucks did.

Of course, did anyone complain when star bucks came around to peddle their caffeine and sugar? Nope, because those are “acceptable” drugs to put in your body, cannabis is not.

This week is a very important week for those in the pro cannabis movements in LA, as the city is trying to push to drive out all “for profit” dispensaries or clinics that accept “Donations” for their efforts.

Thousands of pro legalization advocates and anti-legalization pushers all over are doing their share to put an end to the happenings in LA. Some say the green rush will continue and chain start the rest of the states, where as others are pushing for a halt to the green rush right now.

Why do they feel the sky is falling?

Let’s see…

1. It isn’t easy for a responsible business owner to secure a location to dispense from, making them have to get run down buildings with poor security, crappy landlords and often unsanitary conditions.

2. They say that “criminals” are out there using chemicals and fertilizers that are poisoning patients. This probably wouldn’t happen if they would regulate the fertilizers that are sold in stores, and not allow china to sell their poisoned fertilizer to be bought. They also would do better to educate those who wish to grow, so that they aren’t immediately labeled as criminals. You make more criminals by accusation then by evidence.

Also, if they would stop raiding clinics and dispensaries left and right, maybe grows wouldn’t feel the need to grow their crop as fast and abundant as they can. Just legalize it and you will be free of this little problem.

3. They also seem to feel that those clinics who accept large donations or fee’s for the time and effort they put into growing the herb, shouldn’t be allowed to accept profits. Why not? Big Pharma has gotten fat on our hard earned money when we need their medications, why should it be so horrible that cannabis providers would like to put food on their tables and have the money to maintain their shops?

If they are going to out law all sales or profit of cannabis, they are going to have to make all pharmaceuticals non profit to!

Is the sky really falling in LA? Only over the heads of the LA city counsel, who seem to feel they are going to lose their jobs if they don’t get the “green rush” under control.

Calm down guys, what happened to taking a progressive and compassionate approach to the cannabis movements? Work with them, and not against them, and your sky will seem a lot more stable.
