Osama Versus Obama: Will Barack Obama Die Young?

November 4, 2008 will long be remembered as the day the United States of America voted for its first African-American President. Considering the unsavoury history of America in relation to black people, this is a remarkable step forward for the nation. Accepting the responsibility to become President is also to accept that you are target for extremists who will stop at nothing to achieve their political ends, including assassination.

It is accepted as a fact of life for a new President that he will be accompanied everywhere he goes by bodyguards whose basic role is to keep the most powerful man in the world alive. Barack Obama is wise enough to know that even as he was accepting the plaudits of his supporters, there were others who were already concocting plans to remove him from his position.

No 1 Target For Terrorists

Osama versus Obama is now a reality as the extremist element that destroyed the Twin Towers on the fateful 9/11 would dearly love to take down the greatest symbol of America’s power, their President. Security will be tighter than ever as Obama settles into his new office and experiences first-hand the life of a man who is the number one target for terrorists.

Another factor is of course the fact that there will also be an element within The USA itself that could be a threat to Barack Obama, people who refuse to accept that a black man could become President of their country. There are small-minded people everywhere and that includes some within the boundaries of the United States. Take care Barack!
