Pause
Poem.

Let us give a pause
For those who alone and without cause
Have lost their lives in times past
When evil stalked the land
Seeking out only the most vulnerable man
For his very life to snuff out
Alone while filled with fear and doubt
Alone at some wretched moment and date
Alone against some virulent hate
Alone without ally to rescue him from fate
Alone without love or pity for pity’s sake
Alone where coming of Justice would be too late
Gone, Gone, Gone
Into cold and cruel death throngs
But here let a memory linger on
The realization of his struggle let us all own
And in his honor let us strive
So that a Justice cannot be denied
To another’s hand
When evil stalks the land
To remove the Human Rights of a man
Liked it
