Penalty and Crime
Penalty is used to give punishment for wrong doing to offenders for a crime.
Penalty is used to give punishment for wrong doing to offenders for a crime. Crime that is committed is given a sentence to help rehabilitate offenders. I believe that penalty for crimes can be beneficial to help some offenders willing to learn from mistakes, realize that every action has a reaction. Other offenders or criminal activity may be fueled by the use of penalty. I knew someone that had the opinion that the government is just trying to control the people and take away our American rights. This someone will look at penalty as unreliable and pointless. The presence of a penalty for crime can help to lower crime in some ways but it is near impossible to stop crime. There are groups that still exist to fight against things such as the death penalty with the belief that it is immoral and contradicting to fighting crime. These types of groups find the government uses laws to make it legal to kill others and expects society to just ignore this and to look at crimes such as murder as wrong. However, it is near impossible for everyone to agree on the correct penalty for crimes, making it more difficult for crime to be stopped completely.
