Pollution and Its Types

Pollution is increasing day by day in the world. No place is free from pollution. Pollution is mainly caused by human activities. It is mainly of 4 types:

1. Air pollution - this is the most harmful type of pollution.it causes many kinds of harmful diseases like typhoid,tuberculosis,asthma etc. The main sources of air pollution are-factories,emission from cars,trucks,buses,smoke from chimneys and burning of fuel wood.There are also many causes of air pollution like-greenhouse effect and photochemical smog.
2. Water pollution - this is another harmful type of pollution.It is mainly spread by waste from industries into rivers,household sewage discharged into water bodies. As a result of waste being discharged into water bodies,they enter the food chain and cause bio accumulationthis causes different types of water borne diseases.
3. Soil pollution - This is mainly caused due to human activities like- deforestation,overgrazing,mining etc. The main sources of soil pollution are- waste from houses,industrial waste etc. The effect of soil pollution is huge. The soil which is contaminated is used for growing crops,which in turn enters the body of man and effects health of a person.
4. Noise pollution - This is the last type of pollution which is mainly caused due to the noise from automobiles,industries,generators etc. Noise pollution has harmful effects to humans like- it causes deafness,dizziness,fatigue,nausea etc.
