Pollution

            Pollution is a very important topic in today’s society because it is ruining the air that we breathe everyday!  Pollution is ruining the world we live in.  Our everyday lives are controlled by electronics that are not necessities, lights turned on during the day that do not need to be, and we are the leading emissions producer in the world. 

            Whenever somebody is playing a video game or watching their favorite TV show, they don’t realize that it is causing pollution to go into the air that we breathe every day.  TV shows are a good way to get facts about global problems, but newspapers are better.  They don’t use electricity, and you can reread them over and over unlike a television broadcast.

            People are always leaving on unnecessary lights that can be turned off when you leave the room.  Even if you plan on being back into the room within the next 15 minutes, you should turn off the light to save electricity.  Electricity has to be generated by power plants, and they have to burn coal in order to generate this electricity.  Burning the coal lets off lots of bad emissions that shouldn’t be put into the air. 

            The USA should not be the leading emissions producer.  We have a lesser population than other countries, but a larger impact on the globe.  With only 1/3rd the population of China, we are still ahead of them in producing emissions. The USA is so obsessed with living the high life and about how nice our houses and cars look, but don’t take the time to think about all the effort and time it took to make the house there sitting in.  Somebody had to get all of the wood used to make your house, and in order to do that they had to use a chainsaw or some other machine, causing more pollution in the air.

            Pollution can be stopped.  Every person counts when it comes to making an impact on the globe.
