Populartity of Pregnant Teenagers

I never thought I would see the day when being pregnant was in. And in my opinion, it is a sickening thought. My parents raised me with the knowledge that sex and pregnancy is not something that should be taken lightly and should not be used just as a way to get popular. At my age of only 16 years old, I know the dangers of having sex and the consequences that can come with it.  And I made a vow to myself that I would not become another one of those teen stereyotypes. So far, I have been living up to my vow. Some of my other friends haven’t been so lucky. So what’s with all the hype? I know for a fact that being pregnant is certainly not something to be called fun. I have heard enough stories from my mom and my friends’ moms to know that much is true. If you are one of the people that used getting pregnant just to get with the in crowd then I have shame for you. You have damned that kid and yourself to many years of hell, what with having to spend all of the money you make at your job caring for the baby and waking up at all hours of the night to feed or change the baby. And don’t just push the baby at your parents and have them take care of it while you’re out partying with your friends. It was your choice to eff up your life, not your parents’ and most certainly not the baby’s. Poplularity is just another word for stuck up people who parade around showing off how good of life they have, but seriously if people think that getting pregnant will get them popular they have way more to worry about then getting poplular.
