Press and Media Could Cost England The World Cup
It was released in the Press this week that The Chelsea and England Football Captain John Terry had an affair with one of his team-mate’s girlfriends. This has caused a lot of controversy. As I have also experienced the wrong doing’s of a friend years ago, I have been annoyed by the media’s trespass on private lives.

I am very bemused to see the dramatics in the national newspapers and radio correspondents concerning the seedy life of John Terry. I must also bring attention to the fact that he is the major lynch-pin to the England team and if he became unavailable for the World Cup; the press would be saying that it would be a catastrophic blow to our chances.
Yet the many within the Media are calling for him to resign as captain and be just in the team or to resign completely or even for the FA to step in to withdraw him.
I am not condoning his behaviour of what he has done as I have been a victim of a so called friend’s behaviour myself in the past and it hurt at first, but the victim could then say like me that she wasn’t good enough and good riddance. Yes John Terry done wrong has had an affair and published in the papers, with claims of an abortion have been included into the frame.
I feel thet the trespass on private lives not just of John Terry’s but of the victims of the affair, his wife’s and team mate’s was out of order and detrimental and bad timing of the media and press.
What annoys me is the hypocrisy of many and I wonder how many press or media men have done the same as John depending on the circumstances. If yesterday’s performance was to be evident that this bloke could lift the World Cup for us; I wonder how the Press and Media will behave then.
John has marred his position as a role model for Soccer and England with so much controversy and maybe deserves the sack, but is that written into his contract? If a player has a fight on the field or torments officials, should he have the sack? There is no more controversy than these as role models. We wouldn’t have any players left in the league if rules like this were endorsed.
On the other side, this was a private life for a player who gets paid millions of pounds and therefore the media and many nosy people feel he is public property and if he doesn’t want this sort of press coverage, he shouldn’t do it in the first place.
Rounding it up, if we lose the World cup without such an influential captain as John Terry
We know who to blame; not only John Terry but the press and media combined.
If this appeal to keep this quiet not had been squashed by the courts no-one would have know straight away. It could have been suspended until after the World cup at least and I feel that such small affairs which are not criminal in public should have new rulings.

Sounds like Tiger Woods here in The States. I don’t think the media is wrong for reporting the truth, but i do think they should just let it be afterward instead of keeping things all stirred up.
