The death of Tupac.

Alot of people in America seem to remember September as the month the terrorist group Al-Queda attacked our country by flying two planes into our world trade centers in New York. September 11 is the month we honor the 3,ooo innocent men and women who tragically lost their lives because a group of people didn’t like America and what are beliefs and morals are. Aside from those 3,ooo men and women that we honor, two days after September 11 many people in both the black and white communities honor and remember one of the most famous hip-hop artists of all time. His name was Tupac Amaru Shakur. Among the many great songs he came up with, three of his most famous are California love, changes, and dear mama. Tupac had three nicknames. He was known as 2pac, Pac, or Makaveli. When Tupac was just a teenager he developed an interest in performing and was able to get accepted to the Baltimore School for the Performing Arts. He never got to finish there, however, since he had to move to Oakland, California. Tupac got affiliated with a gang while in Oakland and by his early 20s had already been arrested eight times. It was here in California that he began to make himself known as a rapper. By the time Tupac was 20 years old he got a job with Digital Underground and later created a solo album titled “2pacalypse Now.” While his rapping career was growing, so was his criminal record. In 1994 he was charged with assault and served a minor 15 days in jail. By the beginning of 1995 Tupac was busy serving a much more heavy sentence of 4 and a half years for a sexual assault charge. On top of being number one on the charts, Tupac was also a famous actor, playing in movies such as Gang Related and Gridlock’d. Unfortunately, he didn’t get to see his final two movies in action because of a tragic shooting by nemesis rapper Notorious B.I.G. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Even though Tupac lived a hard life, it all payed off in the end. 15 years after his death, his music can still be heard in cities all over the country. Tupac’s name will always be spoke of and he will always be known as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
