Racism in 2008

The US has become more and more racist in 2008. What can we do?

Let’s suppose for one minute that on November 5, 2008 we woke up to learn that John McCain won the election by a landslide vote of eighty five percent to fifteen percent for Obama. By an analysis of the results the media was able to deduce that blacks split their votes fifty two percent for Obama and forty eight for McCain while whites voted more than ninety three percent for McCain and seven percent for Obama.

The phrase “white racism” would have been predominant on the lips and type of the media. It would have been blasted in 100 point type on the front page of the New York Times. And I for one would have agreed with them. There is no other way such a polarization would have occurred. Obama is a jerk. He is a radical liberal with no experience to run a candy store, let alone the country. His radical friends bought the election for him. But there is no way the demographics I mentioned above could happen without racism being a predominant factor.

One of the ways I look for my own bias is to reverse the situation and see how I would react if it wasn’t my favorite politician. When Gary Condit was in trouble, when William Jefferson was in trouble I asked, “If this was my favorite Republican, would I be calling for him to resign?” If the answer is “yes”, then I am not biased in my thinking. But I have to be careful, would I really call for Todd Platts’ resignation if he had a mistress who disappeared and couldn’t be cleared, would I call for his resignation if the FBI found $90,000 in unaccounted for money in his freezer after they found proof he accepted a bribe? Really would I? I hope Todd will understand that I don’t expect him to be involved sexually with a woman who is no his wife and I don’t expect him to take bribe but yes, I would call for his resignation and loudly. And I have credibility because I did when State Senator Dan Delp a Republican paid for a hooker’s drinks on a state credit card.

I will be branded as a racist for what follows but I find that the truth is more important to me than my popularity. I will with this offend some who are honest and just because they lack the introspection to look at themselves critically but for the most part the ones I offend will be the ones who find I am goring their sacred cow and it will moo loudly. That mooing will take the form of personal attacks on me.

The previous comment was posted by an anonymous and irresponsible left wing wacko liberal from California who has gone over the web posting this and other pieces of trash. He was using an name JTk (Doesn’t know that initials are capitalized) but now he is even hiding more under my name.

His ideas are so far off the wall that even he is ashamed of them.

Why did you make a comment when you didn’t read the article?

I don’t think it has to be unless we collectively listen to the David Dukes, the KKK, and the Louis Farricons, the Jessie Jacksons, Rev. Wrights, BO’s and the like who are playing races against each other for their own gain while trying to say everyone is racist.

The ones listed above said an afro-american could never be elected president. Well, that makes them false prophets. The old testament says false prophets should be stoned – that reduces the number of false prophets. I’m not ready to go there, I prefer gagging them.

RoryN’s comment was removed because it contained a link to an adult site. I will not allow this.

    I did repost his item.

He wants people to visit that site for some reason – there is a BBS there and the owners of the site allow not only free speech but also filthy and irresponsible speech.

Remember the outcry when Imus said something stupid and then look at the little clip he posted here.

Suppose I said here, “We need to eliminate the white trash in america!! Black Power!!” and switched white and black? There would be an outcry. And well there should be. Why is there not one when RoryN does it? He has the right to make those statements under the first amendment of the constitution – which may go away under the Obama court appointee. She is not sure that the bill of rights applies to the individual! But I have every right to reply to his stupidity and crassness. I will.

Martin Luther’s dream will never be realized by statements like the above or the Nazi like Obama Jack Boot and Black Shirt society of oppressing some to benefit others. It will be realized by caring for one another enough to lay down hatreds and prejudices.
