Radical Muslim Minorities in America
Muslims in America. It simply tells us the unity in diversity.
The vast majority of American Muslims are loyal citizens. But a recent Pew poll reports troubling findings: 8% of U.S> Muslims – A larger percentage than in Pakistan say that suicide bombings or other violence against civilians is at least sometimes justified to defend Islam. Perhaps most troubling , 21% Of U.S> Muslims see a great deal or fair amount of support for extension among their own.
Pew researchers discovered that some 60 percent of American Muslims express concern in varying degrees about the increase of U.S. Islamic extremism , clearly a far more encouraging percentage of the American general public expressing such concerns. American Muslims are generally satisfied with the county’s overall direction , still believing that hard work eventually ends up in success.
However,David Rusin concludes that the moderate and largely silent (Muslim) masses do not offset a hundred thousand radicals. If not more , who approve of Al Qaeda and serve as potential recruits.

Islamophobes have been popularizing the claim that “not all Muslims are terrorists, but (nearly) all terrorists are Muslims.” Despite this idea becoming axiomatic in some circles, it is quite simply not factual. In my previous article entitled “All Terrorists are Muslims…Except the 94% that Aren’t”, I used official FBI records to show that only 6% of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil from 1980 to 2005 were carried out by Islamic extremists. The remaining 94% were from other groups (42% from Latinos, 24% from extreme left wing groups, 7% from extremist Jews, 5% from communists, and 16% from all other groups).

Religion seems to be the most frequently used reason in the world for people to hate each other. I seriously doubt that mankind is wise enough to over come that. I have little hope that in the future terrible wars between religious groups can be averted. I am 69 and I ask only that they hold off until I am out of here.

The trouble is that, as with any religion, the ‘moderate’ are those who just get on and don’t receive nearly as much press coverage as the barm-pots who blow things up in the name of their cause.
