Real Life Experience – How I Get Scammed with Postal Money Order
If you are out there looking for a job, I think you better watch out. There is a lot of scammer are looking forward to take advantage of you even though you are the one who are unlucky. It was my experience when a scammer trying to steal my money when I was unemployed.
It was the old day October 2009, I was out of work because my restaurant business was ruined so I was trying to look for a new job so I could put food on the table and pay rent. Being unemployed for too long and I keep watching my saving go down and down, it was a very painful moment and I argue with my wife alot because she felt I am a lazy person who would only sleep all day on the bed and do nothing. Moreover, she asked why she need to cook for me because I was not productive.
One day I received a email from a company called NanLing Textile, the email stated that they are trying to look for a person who live in the United States as a collection agent. It describe that their retailer would mail a check or money order to me, and what I need to do is cashing those check/money order into my bank account and send them back 85% with western union.
It sound not a bad work to me at the moment because I need to get work as soon as possible for a paycheck, so I replied them I will take the job. They did not request me any social security number but just my mailing address then I gave it to them.
A few days later someone from New York sent me three postal money order for almost a thousands each. Even though I was out of work for too long and want to get paid so bad, but I still very careful with money. So I ran to the post office in town and verify those money order. And the result – those money order are fake even though they look so real. Then I knew that I almost fall into the scammer’s trap if I did not go to the post office. So I decided to contact the police and surround those money order to them.

Two days later, that person emailed me again and want to find out if I have received the money order yet, and I replied to him that I have received the money order and have contacted the police immediately and tell him to be prepared to go to jail for the crime he did. After that he stopped to email me anymore.
