Red Ribbon Week: Prevent Kids Messing with Drugs

Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious event, which will be held Oct. 19-23.

Many schools take part in Red Ribbon Week, which will be held on October 19th – 23rd, and is a no-profitable organization that teaches kids about drugs and substance abuse; and persuades them not to get involved and mess around with them.

When DEA Agent Kiki Camarena was killed by violent drug traffickers, the National Family Partnership started the Red Ribbon campaign back in 1985. The Red Ribbons are to recognize the kids that are against drugs and they they are aware of drugs and drug abuse.

President Obama wants to create a drug free America and most schools participate, and is a big deal for them and their parents, that is why Red Ribbon Week always has good turnouts.
