Rescue Peace Process
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday that "any Israeli aggression on " Gaza will put the entire peace process in real danger and will lead to the collapse of all international efforts to save the peace process.

The news agency quoted a Palestinian official Abbas during his meeting with the representative of the European Union, Christian Berger, the Authority has warned of a new Israeli escalation against the Gaza Strip.
The agency said “He stressed during his meeting at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, the representative of the European Union, the National Authority of Christian Berger that any new Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip would put the entire peace process in real danger and will lead to the collapse of all international efforts to save peace.”
The U.S. administration continues its attempts aimed at the resumption of direct negotiations between the two sides stalled for nearly three months after the resumption of Israel’s settlement expansion after a temporary freeze lasted ten months.
The agency added, “and asked (Abbas), the European Union to play a bigger role in the peace process, especially because of its Europe from the weight of great political and economic position of influence on all parties to support the peace process.”
Abbas’s comments come with the escalation of the security situation in the Gaza Strip with the approaching anniversary of the war waged by Israel on Gaza two years ago aimed at stopping militants firing rockets at nearby Israeli towns.
