Restrictions On Teens (Laws and regulations)
Controversial Issues on Teen Laws.
As days go by, you seem to hear more and more about teen deaths, from fatal car accidents. Yes, we would like to limit this, but there may be some people against it. New laws include the ban on electronic devices (cellphones, handhelds, etc.) for teen drivers. But what if someone gets in a car accident, or hits a tree, for example? Instead of being able to call for help, he/she would have to wait for someone to drive by and flag them down. What if it is a less travelled on road? Then, the person might have to wait quite long for someone to come by. Also, another law proposes limiting only 1 non-related person in the car, while a person under 21 is driving. To me, this is not right. When you turn 18, your officially able to go get married, and have children. But you cant go somewhere with more than one of your friends?? When you turn 18, your officially able to enlist in the army, get handed a gun, and go to war… but you can’t have a beer?? This doesn’t make sense to me. What do you think??
