Riot Police Brutality Trigger
RIOT is happening almost everywhere in London turned out to have been extended to Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Nottingham.
RIOT is happening almost everywhere in London turned out to have been extended to Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Nottingham.
“The unrest is the result of bad government policies to cut the budget, particularly those associated poor people. The man who was shot in London is just the trigger,” the writing on social networking, Birmingham Riots of 2011.
Expression in social networking is a little to explain why the riots, arson, and looting took place in several cities within 24 hours. An honest expression that is difficult to obtain in the official media.
Now even fears the riots would spread again as many layers of society not satisfied with the policy of budget cuts that led to thousands and even tens of thousands of people unemployed. Adolescents and youth, especially minorities, such as have no hope for the future when their parents are unemployed. That is why they loot anything, ranging from smartphones, flat-screen television, until the rice.
Economic crisis in the United Kingdom have occurred since 2008 when the United States wrapped by a financial crisis triggered by bad debt problems of housing. Increasingly severe crisis with Greece’s debt default in 2009 is now getting worse. Then its peak when David Cameron government in October 2010 decided to cut anything to reduce the budget deficit. Economic conditions with the ratio of debt to gross domestic product reached 80 percent and the unemployment rate reached 7.7 percent of the approximately 62 million UK residents did raise many issues.
Due to budget cuts, many of the poor benefits, education benefits, and social benefits reduced or even disappear. Many poor people in Britain feel the weight of all when the prices go up every year from electricity, gas, and water.
What’s worse is the private sector went along out of business. Many small and medium businesses, ranging from pubs to shops, close. We can see the scenery everywhere, shops or pubs sealed because of bankruptcy.
Protest police brutality
The bad aspect of this economy into the fire in the hull that could flare at any time. In the present case, it seems that many people suspect the shooting of Mark Duggan at the crowded street in Tottenham was the axis that triggers discontent. Massa was not defending the allegedly Duggan as a gang leader in London. They only protested the police who act tough sometimes for no reason.
The burning of buildings and cars and looting shops in Tottenham on Saturday (06/08/2011) night is just a temporary rebound because the police did not respond to protest why Duggan had to die.
This much-criticized police brutality of minorities, especially blacks from Africa and the Caribbean. If the Muslim minorities of Pakistan became an easy target of police action to intimidate and even fire after the bombing of London in 2005, then the feelings of some minorities, especially young people who got bad treatment in the UK police, it exploded in a police car arson, looting, and destruction.
So far the police just said, the violence is just imitation incident at Tottenham. Police also condemned the crime which has lead to anarchism. Police urged parents to take their children home and not roaming the streets.
However, the core issue brutality against minorities is never highlighted. When cases of wiretapping was revealed, Metro London Police Chief Sir Paul Stephenson resigned, followed by head antiterornya unity. Not to mention now being investigated allegations of police paid journalists in that case that the London police authority at the lowest point. If the police take the money and corruption, why take the telephone and television into a big crime?
The unrest that led to anarchism is a challenge for government policy tightening budgets Cameron who made a lot of people hurt. The crackdown is needed so that the UK economy recover, Cameron deception. However, the situation now where people dare to challenge the police with the burning and looting, presumably the government should consider the social and economic policies.
