Sam Palmisano – Obama Election ,Begs for Money, Yet Continues to Outsource Jobs

What is this Obama Job summit really about?

What is wrong with American’s who are not criticizing Sam Palmisano about the election deal he cut with Obama for pork from stimulus funds and the blatant opportunity to sell IBM products via White House job summits.

CEO Sam Palmisano made a self servicing speech to the Council of Foreign Relations earlier this year. Sam’s pitch included a pitch that asks for public investment in more efficient systems for smart grids, environmental, water conservation and health information records management.

In January he stood side by side with Obama at a White House Press conference which was part of the payola that Palmisano got from his generous support in the Obama election. The payola also included Sam Palmisano’s invitation to an additional three lunches and dinners given by Obama this year.

So far we have not seen Sam’s name on today’s Job Summit at the White House. Those at the White House say they are seeing IBM and Cisco gear in visible use at the White House.

  • To paraphrase a former IBM employee who saw an article on this subject commented, anyone, in the media or elsewhere, who think executives at IBM, up to and including the CEO, are not FOOLs are wrong. These people are consummate liars- I know, saying he was there for over 33 years.

To sum it up, Obama supporters are hoping today’s jobs forum, an Obama’s trip to Pennsylvania last week will help flatten conservatives who suggest the Obama recovery efforts have failed and its in ability to create jobs from the $787 billion stimulus package has been a waste of money.

Disney, Google, Red Hat, Facebook , FedEx and Nucor  executives will be among the company executives in attendance. Several technology executives like Microsoft, Oracle, and SalesForces.com have not been invited.

Pretty clear that Obama has struck a deal with Palmisano, one hand washes the other. How can Obama ask Palmisano to the White House and ask him about job creation in the US when the only job creation Sam does is in the BRIC companies. Sad statement about the Obama administration. Obama is too late with too little doing something about the job crisis in the US and this job summitt was just a media opportunity.

Very good. more people should open their eyes about obama and his failed “stimulus”. this is the kinda of eye-opener that people should be reading. but people like you and myself who write such articles about obama, may be too smart for our own good though.
