Save Your Time for Wikipedia in Its Last Few Days and Get Benefitted – Only for Online Writers
Whew! Second article of the day! After so many days, I am writing two articles in a row in one day. So wish me luck! This article is about a tip that I would like to share with you which you will be benefitted from. Ever heard of renaissance of information? Yes or no, Read below —-
The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is a United States bill introduced by U.S. Representative Lamar S. Smith (R-TX) to expand the ability of U.S. law enforcement to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods. Provisions include the requesting of court orders to bar advertising networks and payment facilities from conducting business with infringing websites, and search engines from linking to the sites, and court orders requiring Internet service providers to block access to the sites. The law would expand existing criminal laws to include unauthorized streaming of copyright material, imposing a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
After the bill was passed, many websites went blackout in protest of SOPA — Stop online Piracy Act. The websites at risk are, twitter, Orkut, Google, Facebook, Reddit and many more. It’s true, many people will be disappointed with the internet if Facebook and Google went out, and for sure internet traffic will fall from 100 to 2.
But every bill has its pros and cons.
You see, among the many sites that will go down after the bill is passed are Wikipedia and Reddit. If Wikipedia goes down, for sure the information in it will vanish in a poof too!

So why not keep some information to ourselves and release it after Wikipedia is down.
Don’t get it?
In today’s world, it will be called plagiarizing. But when Wikipedia goes down, the information you repost will not have a copy and thus you will not be held for plagiarizing.
As you may perhaps know, though the most popular websites will go down, money-earning websites like PTCs, article writing websites, sharing websites will not be censored.
So why not keep a copy of Wikipedia’s information to ourselves for now and if Wikipedia goes down, release it to the world.
It will not only benefit the writer who released it with money but also benefit the readers of it. You see, though Wikipedia contains a bit of false information, the bigger percentage if information is correct, which is why, after the tender effort of other writers to discourage people to read Wikipedia articles, the traffic of Wikipedia is still very high.
Think about it and do comment in the comment panel below, and if you like the article share it on your Facebook wall!
Lend your hands in the renaissance of information and knowledge after Wikipedia goes down.
Hope it helped.
Thank you!
