Seat Belt Controversy

Are seat belts good or bad? You decide. This piece is written in an a, b, a, b, a, b… format.
This is not at all serious, but written for fun.

The newest statistics!  Seat belts save an average of about 12,500 people’s lives each year according to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).  Seat belts can not only prevent injuries, but also prevent deaths.  A few days ago, a three-year-old girl was saved by her seat belts when she was in a plane accident and if she had not worn seat belts she could have died.  Seat belts can prevent injuries.  Seat belts can save lives.  Seat belts can help one live a long life.

Seat belts are not helpful, they are deadly.  Thousands of people get seriously injured by wearing seat belts.  Why, you might wonder; it is because seat belts can choke people.   Some of the injuries from car accidents are caused by seat belts.  Seat belts cannot save lives; they are as deadly as knives.  We should not wear seat belts.  We should not waste millions of dollars on useless seat belts.  We live better without seat belts.

Experts who are wise owls, having studied about car safety, say that seat belts can prevent major injuries and even deaths.  The companies that make cars persuade their buyers to always wear seat belts.  Seat belts should always be worn, they should always stick onto people.  Neil Armstrong, the first American to walk on the moon, wore seat belts in the spaceship.  His seat belts were especially made to preclude minor and major injuries.  Neil Armstrong wears seat belts and he encourage everyone to wear seat belts!  The utopia of peace driving you yearn for will be yours.

Not only seat belts are a waste of time to make, but they have no use at all.  Take some time to look at motorcyclists.  They never wear seat belts and they are safe in the hands of mother nature.  Why bother to wear seat belts?  The Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, does not wear seat belts when he rides his motorcycle.  So do not waste time on seat belts, but spend more time on more useful subjects.

Want to stay alive?   Want to live a long life?  Here is the secret:  Wear seat belts!  Life savers seat belts are.  In order to stay alive and stay healthy, one should always buckle up when he or she is on the road.  One will not be able to see his or her family if he or she dies in a car accident.  Deaths can break up families and even communities.  So in order to be safe, one should always wear seat belts.  Whatever you want will wane away without seat belts.

What a waste of money!  Seat belts are waste of material and money.  Think how much money can be saved by leaving out all the seat belts from cars.  Then people can use that money to buy new Xbox and Halo 3, and even new iPhones!  The new games are so much fun, one should use the money for seat belts on life enjoyment.  No use are seat belts.  One is far better off without seat belts.

Interesting article but I myself was in a car crash and was saved by a seat belt i believe if that the person is old enough and puts it on the right way he will not be choked but instead helped.
