Secrets I Can Tell
Poem.
Someone needs to tell the girls
That its really not- a man’s world
T’was a man created that vicious lie- after all
About a lovely peaceful garden
Where a “girl” contributed to man’s downfall
To keep all girls in their “proper” place
At his finger-tips feeling un-needed and disgraced
But someone ought to tell the girls
She indeed possess a power to bring peace to the world
Should the girls in every community form a club to decide
To disclose that none of them will date
Any man who displays violence to any other man he has eyed
And these are secrets I can tell
Because without fail
Every man most desires the romance between a boy and girl
To display to his friends his secret pearl
But someone needs to tell the girls
The extent to which young boys work together
To keep girls isolated and under control
Through any kind of weather they’ll work together
To make the desired girl feel lonely and insecure, and a buddy steps in
So that its him she’ll desire to hold
Psychological games that’s taken its toll
On womanhood in days of old
Secrets I can tell
