Serendipity Summer or Global Warming

Our Local Weather is Reaching New Highs For This Time of Year.

I was sitting out in my backyard today in a lawn chair wearing a tee shirt and reading a book.

Now you may say, ” so what? I do that all the time”.

But our normal temperature this time of year is a high of 4 degrees celsius.

Our actual temperature today was 23 celsius.

This is surreal because there are still piles of snow around shrubs and beside the house.

But there were birds singing and red squirels chattering, and chippy the little chipmunk,

I don’t usually see until the end of April or the beginning of May.

The weather is amazing but I am not sure it is good for the environment.

The maple sugar industry will suffer if there is no frost. The sap in the

maple trees need frost. check this link, http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/articles/maple-sugar-industry

Some rivers may overflow because of the fast melting ice and snow.

And there is always the possibility that temperatures could go back to normal.

This would sure confuse things for the wildlife.

I have been in a few horrible snowstorms in April so this is quite possible.

Some people say this summer like weather has to do with Global warming.

I will just enjoy it as long as it lasts, tommorrow I plan to start cleaning out the garden.

I saw three crocus in bloom and daffodil just beginning to peek out of the earth.

I am just living one day at a time, and trust in Him that knows the times and the seasons.

Maldives is the lowest lying country in the world. Sea level rise due to global warming might erase my homeland from the face of the earth.

My sentiments exactly, Laura! Whatever comes along, God knew about it a long time before it ever happens. So, we just need to enjoy each day, like the ole song said, ‘Kay-sey-rah-sey-rah, whatever will be will be, the futhers not ours to see, Kay-sey-rah-sey-rah!’ The Lord will take care of us, regardless of what’s going on. God Bless and enjoy your book sitting in the sunshine!

The weather is indeed changing. Ice is melting and the seasons are different. Our climate is altering, but this happens in the natural order of things all the time. Nice share!
