Sex Trafficking in America: It’s Real
Sex Trafficking is an almost secretive, yet steadily rising problem here in the United States. There are many people who have never even heard of it before. I’m here to open your eyes.

So, I’m watching Law and Order SVU and the episode about this South American girl. The young girl is a victim of sex trafficking and is calling 911 trying to get someone to come get her. Long story short; they got her (it’s TV, man).
On a serious note, though, there are many people who fall victim to this everyday and don’t get rescued. If you didn’t know, sex trafficking is the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining a person for the purpose of a commercial sexual act. Although women and girls make up a majority of victims reported, men and young boys have also been subject to the heinous crime.
As I continued to do more research, I learned that California, Virginia, and Wisconsin are the top 3 states that this mess happens in. Cali, I get. Virginia, that’s believable. Wisconsin!? I don’t think I believe that. I mean come on, what do these guys want these people to do, make porn with cheese or something? (SMH) I just think its all pretty darn nasty. What kind of rise do you get out of forcing someone to have sex with you or someone else? Better yet, why would you want to do that? Pure sickos, man.
Any way back to the topic of discussion, there are different types of sex trafficking that includes prostitution, pornography, stripping, live-sex shows, mail-order brides, military prostitution and sex tourism. Victims that have been trafficked into prostitution and pornography are usually involved in the most exploitive forms of commercial sex operations. They start out dancing in strip clubs, and then are later forced into prostitution or pornography. Sex trafficking also takes place in a variety of public and private locations such as massage parlors, spas, strip clubs and other fronts for prostitution.
I don’t know what disgusts me most, sex trafficking or knowing that ordinary people PERSONALLY know that this crap is going on, but they still go to get massages and stuff from these people.
If you think you have come in contact with a victim of human trafficking, call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center at 1.888.3737.888.
