Shocking Messages Recorded in The Last Moments of The 11 September 2001 Victims

Most of the victims of the events that took place on 11 September 2001 died without being able to call someone to rescue them, but some of the 3000 dead 10 years ago tried a desperate last contact.
Whether were left through the mobile phones, or telephones still working at World Trade Center or using the pay phones available at the board of the planes, some of theses messages were saved.
An example is the call of Melissa Doi, aged 32 that at the time was in a company at the 83 floor of the South tower of World Trade Center.

She stayed on the phone with an employee of the emergency services for 4 minutes after the crash of the plane:
-“I am going to die, aren’t I?
-No, no, no.. say your prayers.
-I’m going to die.
-You gotta think positive, because you gotta help each other get off the floor.
-I’m going to die.
-Now look, stay calm, stay calm.
-Please God.”

At a superior floor, Kevin Cosgrove tried to call the emergency services. The voice of the vice-president of a brokerage company that had its office at the 99th floor is heard for the last time around 09:58.”Oh, my God!” he says and then appeared the sounds of the tower collapsing.

Other discussions were recorded from the hijacked plane. Betty Ong, for example was a stewardess on the flight 11 of American Airlines. At 08:19 she contacts the flight controller from the ground. She explains that she and another 2 colleagues were stabbed. ”I think we are hijacked” she explains. After 30 minutes the plane hits the North tower of World Trade Center.

Alice Hoagland tried to call her son, Mark Bingham, soon after she finds out about the hijack. He was in the flight 93 of United Airlines. ”Do whatever it takes to get the plane control back” she tells him with a calm voice.

The plane collapsed on a field in Pennsylvania instead of Washington, the supposed target. Mark Bingham is considered one of the passengers that attacked the terrorists with the price of his life.
At New York, Brian Sweeney was at the board of the flight 175 of United Airlines before hitting the South tower at 09:03. Minutes before he leaves a message to his wife : ”Listen, I am at the board of a hijacked plane.”he says. ”I just to tell you that I love you, and I wish you the best. The same thing for my parents and our friends. I love you all.”
