Should India Say an Official Sorry to Pakistan?

Some genius has said that two things can never be buried forever. Time comes when they are revealed and exposed. This saying proved true on yesterday when a high level Indian official submitted an affidavit in Supreme court of India confessing that Mumbai attacks (26/11) and Parliament attacks (20020 were “staged” by Indian Government in order tm make Anti terrorism laws more strict.

This development took place during the hearing of Ishrat Jahan Murder Case in SC. According to Indian Media, V S Mani who is an undersecretary in Home Ministry of India submitted the affidavit with his signatures confessing that Satish Verma had told him that these attacks were part of project making the laws stricter about Terrorism. It is worthy to note that Satish Verma was until recently a part of the CBI-SIT probe team. Mani further said that that Verma told him that that these attacks were designed “with the objective of strengthening the counter-terror legislation (sic)”

Mani has also said that Verma …”narrated that the 13.12. 2001 (attack on Parliament) was designed for the legislation of Pota (Prevention of Terrorist Activities Act) and 26/11 2008 (terrorists’ siege of Mumbai) was staged in order to make amendment to the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act).”

When contacted to Verma, he refused to hold talk with Media saying that he is not “allowed” to say word on such matters. He also said that he doesn’t know about any affidavit or complaint filed against in any court. The Former ISP officer is currently working as the principal of Junagadh Police Training College.

One must not forget that India has always accused Pakistan of plotting these terror attacks and has always demanded Pakistan to uproot so-called “terror Camps” in Pakistan which, according to Indian authorities, are involved in terror activities in India.

Indian Parliament was attacked in 2002 and Indian agencies had accused Pakistani Intelligence Agency ISI of financing and supporting the terrorist in attacking the Parliament. India had named LeG (a supposed extremist organization operating in Indo-Pak region) as behind these attacks. Later a young Kashmiri youth Afzal Guru was arrested as the mastermind of Parliament attacks and he was awarded death sentence by the higher courts in India, although no clear evidence was found against Guru. Guru was hanged weeks ago. Many Human Activist organizations blamed Indian Government of gaining political mileage by hanging Guru. One must remember that India had accused that Guru was Leg and ISI trained. India had disconnected all bilateral dialogues after parliament attacks in 2002.

Same practice was repeated in 26/11 Mumbai attack on which near about 200 people was killed including many foreigners.Terroists had attacked many important locations in Mumbai like Taj hotel, Oberaiy Hotel etc. As usual Indian accused ISI of plotting these attacks and claimed to arrest an ISI and Leg agent Ajmal Qassab. Ajmal Qassab was also hanged a few days after Afzal Guru. This time also, India made lobbing to increase world pressure against Pakistan and tried to declare Pakistan a Terrorist Country by United Nations but finally failed in its efforts.

Now when it has been proved that these so-called attacks were “Staged’ by Indian Government and Indian Agencies, isn’t it time for UNO to hold an accountability commission for these “staged attacks”???

And isn’t it time for India to say an official sorry to Pakistan?
