Should There be a Global Abolition of Mass Destructive Weapons?

This is an article on the extensive use of destructive weapons and should they be abolished or not!!

In my opinion, mass destructive weapons such as Nuclear weapons, missiles, to mention a few, should be abolished globally as they are the biggest threats to humanity and even this world. They are the ones that encourage people to spread terrorism and conduct terrorist activities on various occasions. Weapons of mass destruction do not only cause problems when used but also spread many diseases and create problems later. Noise and Air pollution created by these weapons cause a great damage to the environment which can be dangerous for the lungs when we inhale.  The best example for this would be the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing which occurred during the Second World War after Japan had attacked Pearl Harbor, the site of lodging fighter ships and airplanes of the USA. When the USA bombed these two important cities of Japan, thousands of people died and millions were injured during the terrifying attack.

The production and quality of crops were affected there due to the radiation from the ground which led to deficient growth of crops due to which their diet had been affected and they suffered from various diseases namely food poisoning, jaundice and many more. Even the bombing in Kuwait by the USA caused great disasters to the oil wells which caused a great blow to its economy as the extract and supply of oil worldwide was at a hold. Even the outrageous bombing occurred in Afghanistan by the USA in search of Osama Bin Laden who had demolished the World Trade Centre is a daring example which calls for its ban. It devastated many buildings and also destroyed the complete infrastructure built by them; the land was also harmed due to which the Afghans weren’t able to use that land for farming or other purposes. They had to strive for food and tackle hunger for a couple of years together.

Instead of being a deterrent, these strategic weapons would act as a spur to cause grievous damage by firing at one’s enemies. These weapons not only kill people but also leave agonizing memories for the victims who escaped the attacks. Most of the victims are the innocent citizens of the country who are annihilated for no reason. This also causes destruction of property; time and money are wasted on the re-development of the infrastructure. The economy of a country is also debilitated during this deadly period of time. Hiroshima and Nagasaki took nearly a decade to recover from those attacks excluding the later effects. As the fear of proliferation is on the rise, it poses a threat to other nations. To illustrate, many countries do possess nuclear weapons viz.  Even the countries who manufacture these weapons, suffer a great loss of money and valuable time. Storing these weapons in an inaccessible area is also one of the major concerns after they have been made.
