Should We Care About The World and What Problems Conflict Humanity Today?

A reason to why people should care about the reality of the world they live in and a new perspective on viewing it.

I think that it’s important for us to care about the world and all the things going on in it. It’s our responsibility to think about the place we all live in and share with others. We should take notice of the things going on around us since we consider the world our home. We should look at the good things and the bad. As for the bad, we should think about it and try to resolve the problems. It’s something that everyone can relate to, even if it doesn’t directly affect him or her.

As of now, there are many problems occurring in the world. From social injustices to greenhouse gases, problems plague the world. The war on terror is one of these examples; it’s caused so much loss in effort and lives that it’s a wonder why people just don’t take a break, both sides included. Another problem is social injustices such as treatment of certain minorities, women, and religious persecution.

In addition, a more common problem is greed: many problems can be shown to somehow to root to this. Lots of wars and conflicts result in the greedy conquests of various resources such as oil and lumber. Several important wars can be linked to this such as the ‘War in Iraq’ and few appeasements regarding unethical practices can also relate such as the United States’ relationship with Saudi Arabia. Greed has hurt many species of animals all over the world as humans portray dominance. Lastly, greediness and carelessness has lead to severe pollution problems such as global warming and destruction of forests. I feel that people should try to expand the point of their lives from revolving around themselves to looking at the world from other angles. New perspectives can give a person new ideas that might be beneficial in some way or another.
