Slaughter of Dogs and Cats

Today, in several provinces of the country they went in opposition to the slaughter of dogs that had announced Neuquén’s municipality last week. In the capital neuquina about 300 persons took part, in the evening, of the mobilization for the downtown that it finished opposite to the Municipal Palace.

Singing ” not to the slaughter ” the neighbors in favour of the life of the animals travelled, close to his pets, from the Monument the general San Martín towards the Monument of the Mother; returning, then, to the municipal building.

Days behind, the commune had informed that as measure to face to the outbreak of leptospirosis in the plateau, it initiated a process to sacrifice 220 dogs.

This opened the polemic and generated a debate between the company and the State to find a viable solution without having to apply the euthanasia.

 Close to the manifestation neuquina they were realized in Buenos Aires, in the Obelisk; in cardinal Jujuy, in Santa Rosa of The Pampas, in Tucumán, in Cordova, in La Rioja, in Rosary, in Mar del Plata, in Parana, and in Currents.
