I guess I'll share how I started smoking. My sisters and father all did it, and my rock star idols did it, so I did it, thinking it would be a cool albeit self-destructive thing to do. Then I got addicted. Cigarettes are addictive, and their appeal cannot be explained to non-smokers who have never experienced the utter joy of taking a puff of noxious cigarette smoke after maybe a couple of hours of abstinence. Also, like Kurt Vonnegut said, it's the only culturally acceptable form of suicide. Err. I guess I’ll share how I started smoking.
