Soaring Gas Prices

Gasoline, oil.

Every summer seems to bring the same burning question to the American consumer’s mind.  How much will we have to pay to fill up our gas tanks?  Has the price of gasoline per gallon finally hits its mark or will the price continue to climb?  For months, the American public has been shaken with the extreme and outrageous climb of gasoline’s price.  Will we be facing the disastrous threat of $5.00 per gallon in our future?  Is there a light of hope at the end of our economic tunnel?

Gas pumps have been hitting our bank accounts like an atomic blast.  It’s time for the  rich oil companies to give this nation a well deserved break.  With higher gasoline prices, many Americans have had to change summer travel plans, holiday reunions and even the pattern of their routine shopping excursions.  The simple task of driving to work has hampered the lives of many Americans today.  Who wants to leave their homes and travel great distances for employnent when they can not afford the cost of the fuel to get there?  Americans are frustrated and have had enough.

For now, gasoline prices seem to be holding steady and dropping at an average rate of ten cents per gallon across the nation.  We should slowly see a price decrease throughout the summer months unless volatile problems in Iran would grow worse.

Oil companies have the automobile owners and drivers of America up in arms.  They know they have us over a barrel with little to say or do about it except “don’t drive.”  It’s time for an ecfonomic change for the better.  Let it begin at the gas pumps!
