Stevia: A Great Sugar Substitute

A great sugar substitute with more qualities than sweetening.

Stevia Rebaudiana is a plant original from South America, especially from Paraguay and Brazil, which for centuries has been used for its natives. Its extract is sweeter than sugar and little by little is getting popular because of its high sweetening power without Aspartame and other chemical additives, it´s 100% natural and don´t have caffeine.

Stevia on its natural form is 15 times sweeter than regular sugar; its extract is 300 times sweeter than sugar. With zero calories is rich in iron, manganese and cobalt.

Stevia is used not just like a sweetener but in many other ways because of its medicinal properties:

  • Improves glucose tolerance. It´s hypoglycemic.
  • It has a vasodilator effect.
  • Stevia is diuretic.

Stevia is now commercialized in sachets like a regular sweetener but without the chemical additives.

    Stevia could offer cane and beet sugar competition. Regular sugar doesn’t have so many benefits.

    Stevia is good. It’s the only sweetener that the body doesn’t recognize as sugar. Healthy sweetener indeed
