Stop the Nonsense: Why We Need the Death Penalty
by Reason’s why the death penalty should be allowed to continue. Why we should use lethal injection over other modes of execution.
Many people argue that there are reasons why the death penalty is not proper for a crime. Some of these arguments include the convicted was a drug user, had a bad childhood, or was mentally handicapped or challenged at the time. I say stop making excuses. I have heard all types of situations trying to mitigate what someone does. The bottom line is we are human and have a brain. Use the brain and you know right from wrong. Cloud the brain with drugs and you screwed up yourself. Do not ask me for sympathy. Yes, before you ask I have in the past experimented with some drugs. I am just lucky I never got into trouble.
In speaking of the mentally handicapped or challenged individuals, I know there would have to be some consideration there. Where I want to draw the line though is the fact that someone can commit a crime after they got off work at the job they have held for 5 years and instead of going to their place of residence they have had for three years they decide to commit a crime and then go I was insane, Wrong answer. I am not going to get into clinically diagnosed insanity or retardation. The thing is it does not pertain to everyone convicted of a crime. I have never spoken to individuals doing life in prison or sentenced to death that did not say either I am innocent, or I went insane and didnt realize what I was doing. I do not mean this to include everyone because there is no way I have talked to them all.
Bottom line, we need the death penalty. It makes sense for several reasons. The first being closure to the victims and their families. The second being cost and another is the fact that you must repay society for the loss you caused. There is no justification from my point that someone should be kept alive and given anything when they have done a wrong to someone that would take their ability to receive life away.

i believe that this is true an more of these people need to go on the death penalty an face the consequences for their wrong.

Well said! I am 100% behind every thing you wrote in your article. The article was very well writer. The only thing I would like to see is quicker DNA testing on people that very well may be sitting in prison for years and are innocent. Many States have already released over 200 folks that were innocent thanks to DNA testing, 13 folks were released from death row. We always seem to rethink on the hard fact when it comes to the death penalty. How do we serve justice by giving you no freedom? keeping them locked up for the rest of there lifes? Hell no when it’s proven you have commited this hanse crime and are sentenced to death it MUST be done in a timly fashion not years and years later trying to save the criminals.
Our prisons are human zoo’s keeping the vicious animals in and away from the public. We are over crowded now. Here is a thought If you know as a society that when you commit crimes punishable by death and they are carried out in your set date would you not think more about the crime you commit? Knowing full well you WILL Die for your crime no if’s and buts about it. I think yes. We live in a world where we want to save everyone well foks there are some the are dammed to there souls and have no feeling about killing someone. We are a scociety that hold no one resopndsable for there actions any more. Oh they have a bad life are poor, underprivlaged, uneducated,or are just worped indaviduals. Well lets look at the ture issues we have failed our citizens if we can not hand out justice for your behavior. It’s a free for all we no longer care about one another. Have no respect for each other it’s a me me world. We see, play and live violence every single day mostly it our childern they are so desensitized to the curlty of others they feel little remores for there actions.Ok I’ll stop you have a great paper.
