Subway Safety

Subway accident.

The deadly subway crash in the nation’s capital has made us all take a hard look at subway transportation safety.  Transit systems across the country rely on the safety and operation of its subway cars.  Cities such as Washington, D. C., Chicago and New York City rely heavily on this convenient mode of transportation throughout their metropolitan cities.

The National Transportation Safety Board is thoroughly investigating Washington D.C.’s tragic subway accident.  Should the damaged subway cars have been replaced long ago or were they just in need of timely repairs?  Should there be a certain length of time and service requirements for the city’s much needed subway cars?  Are they becoming too obsolete for their good?

Safety regulations need to be changed and reinforced so that we don’t have a repeat of the catastrophe of Washington, D.C.  The price of a life is too high to pay for faulty and failing equipment.  We look to the National Transportation Safety Board for answers to this plight.  The time to act is now!
