Sunshine in the Tropics

Trees contribute to the development of industries and the preservation of good environment. There have been efforts to plant trees to stop desertification as well as to develop transportation. Trees are also a source of food.

Trees are an important source of energy and sign of good environmental health. Since the eighties there have been efforts to plant trees for example by the World Bank in Africa to fight against desertification especially in the Sahel where there are West African countries like Senegal and Mali.

Thanks to some countries that had an interest in trees the coal mining industry was able to develop in the beginning of the twentieth century. Most of the coal was found in Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Russia, Poland, the United States of America, Canada and Brazil. Nowadays some countries are able to produce coal and it is on coal that most of the cooking is done in Africa. In Switzerland and Gabon there are also some trees which have helped to build Europe and Africa especially the railway industry. There is the transalpine in Switzerland and the railway from Cairo in Egypt to Arusha in Tanzania. It is also thanks to the railway that populations can travel easily from one part of the world to another.

So, trees have given popularity to some countries like the trees in Canada and in Lebanon. Canada is known for the planes that are used in case of fire emergency. Lebanon was known for its building industry because of a tree unique from there.

From trees you can also get oil and gas. Let’s even say oil for cooking like olive oil and even fruits like grapes. Most of olive oil and the grapes are found in the Mediterranean countries.

The other trees which are famous for there uniqueness are the trees from Madagascar and the trees from Brazil. Madagascar is well known for the Emerald tree a famous tree that has helped to produce an emerald gem stone which is green. Brazil has many trees and therefore many industries and this is an example to follow especially for the production of agriculture.
