Survey: The Right to Bear Arms

Hey all,
in the interest of an open mind I want to invite anyone who reads this to make an argument one way or the other regarding a very important issue.
As a society, should we restrict the right of an individual to keep a gun in his household or on his person, or should we allow everyone the right to bear arms, by a broad definition?
In the comments section of this article, please state your position in this matter and give your LOGICAL reason for taking this position. I am not asking for personal testimony, just reason. In answering, feel free to be brief or to expound.
