Sweetie, Mommy and Daddy R Broke
Woes of the chain reaction effect of America’s Financial Crisis, and how parents are informing their children.
Honey, Mommy can’t buy those new Air Force Ones, let’s go to Payless…
Son, Dad is not able to get box seats for the Pistons’ game this season, do you wanna go to the bar instead?
Well, Christmas will be a bit short this year, children; Mommy and Daddy only have enough money to buy all of you a sweater; But, you’ll have to take turns wearing it.
Little Jamey, you have to share your lunch with your sister, we ran out of bread and Mommy doesn’t have $3 for another loaf because I have to buy gas to go to work.
Children pack your belongings, we’re moving in with Grammy because the bank lost our house.
Argenia, the college denied your application because your school loan is no longer available, or would you like for me to sell a kidney instead?
Baby Joe, no more pampers for you, Daddy will have to use his old high school gym shirts to keep you covered
Mommy will have to use the stove to keep us warm this winter; we have to conserve energy….and turn that light off! I told you to use the candles instead and don’t sit it near the curtains.
Some of you may laugh at these, but somewhere in America, this is true, and is happening! Have you spoke to your children about the financial crisis?

This article made me chuckle but it also hit home regarding how the cost of everything is going up…except our PAYCHECKS!

Both of you have made good points. But it also shows how people may be dealing with america’s ‘crisis’. To be honest, some Americans are ‘immune’ to being “without”, thus, we have no [pity] for the sake of the ownpour of the economy, because the economy has not been [workable] for us… whew, I’m going to stop here…
