Tea Party Then and Now

The Tea Party. .. let’s examine the participants then and now, has anything really changed?

1773 a group of “patriots” slink undercover of darkness each to do their duty, and be true to his country.   This brazen act was the beginning of the battle of American Independence.

The colonist refused to pay levies to Parliament, because they were unlawful, and since the Americans no longer had ties to England why should they pay?  I get it, that’s all fine and good, but what I take exception to is the way they went about their protest.

Why this is considered such a heroic act is beyond my scope of comprehension.  You see they dressed as Indians, the first people of America, the only minority handy at the time I guess, to pull of this charade.  Complete with paint, tomahawks, Indian headdress and whooping war chants.  This was no heroic deed this was an act of cowardice pure and simple.

If a body is so certain that he’s standing up for what is right then why not be honest about it?  Perform the deed in the open, no war paint, no pillow cases over the head, just do it.  What if something had gone wrong?  As it is these “patriots” waylaid the captain of one of the ships, what if he had perished?  Oh I see the Indians would have been on the hook for murder, and with the racial mores of the era whole tribes would have be massacred in an act of vengence.  Not to worry at least the “patriots” got their message across who cares if a redskin or two lost their lives?

Today’s Tea Party group are similar to their namesake, cowards.  Threatening the lives of representatives that only did what their constituents ask them to do . . . their job.  Leaving threatening messages, breaking windows behind the cloak of anonymity.  Cowardly acts performed much like their Bostonian counterparts in 1773.

What manner of patriots are these that spit and insult representatives just doing their job and trying to get home.  Knuckle dragging racist are abound in this rag tag bunch of mouth breathers.  I wonder who are these people?  Do they not have employment?  How do they manage to rally during the day without being gainfully employed?  If their so patriotic why the silence regarding the January 2010, Supreme Courts ban on corporate spending in candidate elections?

This ruling has in essence voided our voting rights, but nary a word from the boisterous brood.   During health care rallies representatives could’nt hear themselves think, but again not a peep for this boorish group.  Which leads me to question . . why?  I would think these “patriots” would be swinging from the rafters with their under gear in bunch over, what many perceive as a loss of a civil right.

But nothing . . dead silence so I’m beginning to think that these are paid noise makers.  Distraction to blindside the nation, and rile those uniformed knuckle draggers who are already racially paranoid.  Because you see if this ban on corporate spending is not repealed all this brouhaha is moot.

The medical, insurance, pharmaceutical companies, unions, media corporations, private business and large church organizations can now buy their own government.  That way they can fill their all ready full coffers, continue to fleece American citizens, and this can all be done without that pesky little thing called your rights getting in the way.

So you see folks all this falderal about health care will be done away with after President Obama’s term is through.  All this ado about nothing, and your heroic Tea Party will have done it’s job, pull the wool over the little American sheep’s eyes, so you can rest peacefully while their cohorts and employers continue to fleece you.
