In Traverse City, a sixteen year old boy named Robert Schwander has been found guilty by a jury of second degree murder.
Robert who is the son of a county sheriff’s deputy was initially a suspect in the murder of a teenage girl named Carly Lewis.
Carly Lewis had disappeared in June. Her body was later discovered outside Traverse City.
Since there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Robert for the crime, police let him go free while further investigations continued. It did not take long for the determined police officers and detectives to put the dots together and come up with enough evidence to charge the teenager for the murder of Carly Lewis.
In court, the sixteen-year-old killer admitted to killing Carly Lewis and burying her body in a grave before he eventually moved it to a sand lot about a week later.
Robert will be sentenced for his crime on the 18th of November.
