At approximately 55 mph, a red sports car and the other two cars behind runs the red light at the intersection of North Kendall Drive and 87th Avenue earlier today.  I stood there watching in disbelief. Luckily, the driver waited before making that left turn. While New York is known for its bad taxi drivers, Miami  Dade County is also included in the list of terrible drivers.  On the other side of the spectrum, the city of Hialeah and Little Havana are known for its slow poke drivers. And many of them don’t even have full coverage insurance.

Running a red light is very dangerous. If you are driving recklessly, then you are not only putting your life at risk, but other passengers as well. The majority of drivers who are guilty of this are either too ignorant or not thinking of the consequences behind their irresponsible behavior. And what about those drivers who block an intersection instead of giving others the right of way. Miami is a city with very rude people. If you cut somebody off without putting your turning signals on, then get ready for some drama. The other driver will either lower his window and cuss you out or stick their middle finger at you.

Driving at excessive speed either on the highway or road is not worth the risk. For instance, if you are driving back home at 5:00 am from a club and are somewhat buzzed and feeling sleepy, there’s a chance that you might crash into a tree and die instantly. On the other hand, if you had not been drinking, driving over the speed limit and wearing your safety belt, there is a better probability of surviving.
