Thanks! It Failed

Obama health care bill.

Though some of us are smiling because the Obama health care plan did not pass, there are some who are insistent on  making it happen before year’s end.  What is the actual purpose for Obama pushing so hard…so quick?  Is it for his high dollar self esteem?  Will the cost of the bill be worthy?  Will it pull the cover over the now over loaded deficit?  I am not sure anyone has the answers to these questions.  However, to help all Americans have affordable insurance is a far step from the truth, as well as being unrealistic.

Rahm Emanuel, in strong support of sliding the Obama health care to home base, came up with the brilliant idea, which Medicare payments increased to doctors over the next 10-years at a whopping $247 Billion.  He suggested passing a quarter of the $1 trillion dollar reformed bill into a different unpaid bill, which is called a “shell.”

Apparently, the rather “shady” bill was not worthy enough for the Republicans, and twelve Democrat’s, including 1 Independent, to buy.  They voted it down.

However, hard pressed as Obama is to pass the health care, in all his efforts to encourage Americans it was the right choice…he has a failure against him.  At least this time around.

Does failure mean we can finally relax and forget the health care pressure for a while?  It’s doubtful that will happen.

PhARMA, Pfizer, America’s Health care plan and The Federation of American Hospitals, will not mete out the possibility that Obama health care failed, and sweep it under the rug. Together they have put millions of dollars into lobbying for the bill to fall asunder.  Yes, they lobbied in the White House.  Did I hear the campaigning Obama say, “I will have no lobbying in my White House?”  Apparently, I remembered, and he forgot.  It seems, perhaps rather than lying, this Administration just has a few double standards.

Regardless of the millions spent, Congress in whole did not buy it.  My hats off to those in Congress who had fortitude, and concern for the American people.

Senator Grassley-R, Iowa, claims the action taken by Health and Human Services could be classified as propaganda.

The form letter posted on the HHS website stirred the Senator.  He wrote them a letter of complaint in which he stated, “any possible mis-use of appropriated funds by the executive branch to engage in publicity or propaganda in support of an Administration priority is a matter that must be investigated and taken seriously.”
