This is all due to having too much freedom... where criminals are innocent until proven guilty... where bribery, ineptitude and corruption rules. Also contributing to this is the pussification of America where from the top down, it has become offensive to do anything bold. The gov't are afraid to punish criminals and to passing much needed laws that are too "radical". This results in people having no respects for themselves much less the authority figures -- government, elderly and parents. Kids nowadays are dispectful towards their parents and are quick to play the "abuse" card when their parents lay down the law. Neighbors and people in this country are afraid to get involve fearing repercussions for their actions that may be misconstrued as something wrong or worst get sued for trying to help. Everyone are living out for themselves, turning the other cheek when there's trouble and stepping on other people toes to get ahead since it has become society norm.

Your absolutly right!! What has happened to the days where kids in 2nd or 3rd grade walked to school without parents because their parents knew the big kids (maybe 6th or 7th graders) were watching out for them. Now we even have to watch out for the safety of those big kids.
