The Cloning Controversy
The cloning debates.
The topic I have chosen is “the cloning factor.” so much controversy on cloning and the ethics involved with it that I thought it would be very interesting to research the subject and write a paper on it.

It is a very interesting topic especially since there are still so many people in the world that do not seem to understand the real concept of cloning. Most people tend to ignore many of the governmental experiments and typically are only seeing one point of view without really researching and learning about the whole bio ethics issue involved in this. First and foremost the big debate recently in the news has been the stem cell research to help the paralyzed in our country and in other countries as well. Stem cell research has opened many conclusions such as taking the stem cells from aborted fetuses for research as well as some even going as far as giving birth to a child for the sole purpose to help its sibling counterpart in retrieving the stem cells to help its sibling. I don’t believe the ramifications are truly understood in this whole scientific frenzy that has fallen into our midst. Of course many people want to be able to help to put an end to the spinal cord injuries and to the lack of organ donors there seem to be in order to sustain and prolong productive lives but to what lengths will we go to do this. I believe that our ethics in such scientific programs must truly be put to the test in this society of eternal life and eternal youth that so many want to pursue without sparing the expense of another to do this. I did not get the chance as of yet to truly get any feedback from my peers while I was preparing to write this paper so I asked fellow peers and co workers questions and gathered their thoughts on the subject. I was surprised at some of the answers and not so in others.

I like the way you talk about the issue, but what about cloning without the intention of killing them? Like for couples who can’t have their own kids? Personally I say no to that too, the last thing we need is more ways to replicate ourselves.
