The End is at Hand

A description of the last days events.

THE END IS AT HAND

Jesus told His disciples about the events preceding the end time. And Jesus admonished that those signs are manifestation or an indication that the end time is at hand. Read Matthew 24. As it were in the days of Noah when they were feasting and drinking, marrying and giving out in marriage so it shall be at the time of the end. Has it changed now or still the same?

Nations shall rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, brother against brother by so doing, it is indicative of the fact that the world is gradually coming to an end and not the end itself. As it is now, can we say that the world is at its last phase of imminent collapse? Only God knows. Going by what the scriptures say, one would be make bold to say that the end is at hand.

All over the world traces of these things are littered.  Will it be feasible to say that the world is coming to an end or is already in comatose?

Few days ago, there was serious flood in Texas which was massive. This took a lot of time and resources before it could be controlled. Many buildings and land mass were swept away by flood. About the same time, another happened in Ibadan in Nigeria that took many lives. To date the people are still counting their losses. No one can say precisely for now the exact number of casualty recorded in the episode.

While as in the case of New York City it took a different dimension. This time it was not flood but a wild outbreak of inferno that took nearly all they have and rendered many homeless. Why all these? In Nairobi Kenya there was a tanker inferno that that claimed the lives of hundred people and eighty in the hospital for treatment.

But in Libya, theirs is civil unrest which has claimed the lives of over twenty five thousand people. In Afghanistan their ex-president was assassinated through attack in Kabul yesterday. What about the Palestinian and Israeli war? And many more that are on the increase on daily basis.

The constant recurrence of this is an indication that the world is at the time of its end. All that is needed now is not the personal effort we try to put on but a divine contact that would ameliorate the situation. Man has no solution to the problem at hand. The only solution giver is God and Him alone.

As it stands for now, we can do nothing without God. But humanity is so pompous and self satisfactory in all his work that the position of God is taken over by him hence the calamitous acts. It is never too late to trace our steps back to God but would pride allow man to do this? Unless that is done, the war and every destructive means would increase until Jesus comes.

In conclusion, whether war, earthquake, famine, pestilence and every other things affecting man came to, be as a result of sin. Before the arrival of sin, man was having communion one on one with the Lord. But as soon as sin was hatched the relationship was altered and many evil and wicked things came on board which to date are problematic to man in his daily life.
