The Game Has You Obsessed

How easy is it for a person to get obsessed over a game? Are we all controlled by the game instead of us controlling the game?

Something to say that is not low on getting peoples interest and sells is the gaming industry. All industries, business’s, and people have been suffering financially at least some of the time but with our interest in games growing the gaming industry is seeing less of the financial problems then most others are.

One type of game that has become pretty popular is the games on myspace. Myspace is a site that people go to socialize. The myspace games are pretty simple and not much to them but they allow people to play with their friends and against other people who have a myspace. So yes obviously someone in order to play these games had to have a myspace. This is not really a problem though because many do.

Each of these myspace games pretty much all have the same things. They have the players stats, main, missions, territory, bank, the main man (earn stuff), equipment, fight, hit list, hospital, members, and main men. And yet because these things have different titles and pictures it attracts our interests.

One if not the most popular of these myspace games is mobsters. People play it day and night home and at work. Everyone who plays the game looks for every chance to play. And then there is some that just choose to play because they are bored. But they could of chosen to do many other activities but instead choose to play a game. And it’s not just myspace games or even pc games its every electronic game that a person can get hooked on.

In Guangzhou, China in a cyber café a 30-year-old man fainted and died after playing a game for 3 days straight. You could almost say that it was his obsessiveness he had for his addiction for games or even just that one game. China because of this same addiction so many have they are enforcing time limits for playing a game. And some of the children are getting sent to boot camps.

China is not the only region with people who have a gaming addiction. This gaming addiction has people so obsessed that they cheat on relationships to be with the game more so they can feel the intensity of it. It’s also causing people to loose their jobs and overall their lives that they could have or once had. What will make us stop playing a game to get back to reality? A place where more then likely we would rather not be there and that’s why we got to playing the game in the first place.

Do games make us zombies with loss of all abilities but watching the screen and clicking a mouse or a hand controller? I don’t know how many of your duties have you ignored today for a game. I do myself put a large amount of time into games. And I don’t even play much or like games a whole lot. But I do keep checking my Mobsters and also sometimes play my Sims 2.

It seems that games have a bigger hold on us then we do of them even to the extent where we are being controlled by electronics.
