The Green Revolution
How we can help the planet by using renewable energy. There are a lot of choices to make when going green. But the best choice is going green to help out our kids and their kids and on down the line. The war against toxic pollutants derived from crude oil is upon us. There are many ways we can contribute to help mankind.
Thankfully, oil prices have eased since the high of $145.00 a barrel last summer. However, not only America, but much of the world has determined the need for cleaner energy far outweighs the dependency on oil.
Nature2energy is a site dedicated to helping the less knowledgeable on alternative energy. We ask all to join us as we seek the truth on renewable energy.
Being able to sell electricity back into the grid or going completely off grid has attracted many people to the use of renewable energy. The Obama initiative that gives rebates has made renewable energy affordable to many people and businesses in the States. Other countries have their own versions of alternative energy tax incentives. Many countries are way ahead of the United States in its alternative energy plan and application.
We now expect a four to five year differential from cost to breakeven on installing a renewable energy source. This may decrease as newer technology invades alternative energy. Already thin film solar cells and Dye-sensitized solar cells are adding many possibilities to the solar equation. Consider the breakeven point and the twenty-five year minimal expectancy of a solar cell. Wind Turbines have no maintenance of fifteen to twenty-five years.

The sun radiates enough energy in one hour to support the energy needs of the entire world for one year. To capture this clean energy and rid the atmosphere of the carbon build-up emitted from carbon based fuels is quintessential to our future generations.
The sun, wind, hydro, hydrogen, bio-mass, wave and geothermal offer us ways to supplement our energy into a clean, affordable, renewable resource that is on the verge of transplanting crude oil as the cheaper energy. Though crude oil is still the cheapest, it is only a matter of time and technology before alternative energy sits as the leader. If not for the initial cost, renewable energy, would already be the front runner in cost efficiency.
Some of the oil baron countries of the Middle East are also exploring renewable energy. Their leaders realize the harm oil pollutants reek upon the environment. They also recognize the worlds resolve of the eerie destruction that fuel carbons impose upon our society. Dubai and Saudi Arabia are the forerunners in the Middle East on renewable energy.
We all can make a difference in the conservation and application of renewable energy. All we have to do for conservation of energy is to look at our own homes. Money and energy can be saved by reducing “vampire energy.” Vampire is the energy absorbed by appliances left on with a pilot light. Computers, CD players, televisions, monitors are a few that keep a light burning. Over a years times, it has been estimated that over $600.00 could be saved by turning these appliances completely off. The fastest way is to use an extension with and on and off switch.
$600.00 could by a 400 to 600 watt wind turbine, which in turn could be installed to pump electricity back into the grid and reduce the electricity bill that cometh every month.
Reducing the carbon footprint is also a ways to save or make money. After the initial investment there is not much to do but monitor to make sure everything is working as it should. Not everyone has the capital to go out and buy a $25,000 solar system that puts out 10,000 watts. However, there are other ways of incorporating renewable energy into ones budget. When its time to buy a new car, a hybrid or eclectic car would mean fewer emissions into the atmosphere. It would also allow one to pass the gas station more often.
A motorized bicycle or electric bicycle for short trips would be economical and at up to 200 MPG would be fuel efficient. I am not sure how long the battery last on an electric bicycle but more information can be obtained at Motor Bicycling.
Investing in green technologies would be a nice way in helping the environment while perhaps adding to your wealth. Investing has risk involved. It is inherent that investing be understood to the fullest before attempting. More information can be found at Stock Market Cats Investing in Green Energy
Scientists having proven the global warming issue and the cause of it, it is time for all of us to concern ourselves with helping with the solution. It may seem that alternative energy is moving at a snails pace, but everyday there is a new news article of some green energy application of schools, offices, residential areas, government buildings, and investment from T. Boone Pickens. This is our future!
