The Impact of Television
A little explanation of some problems that the television causes.
Television impacts childrens’ way of behaviour and personal properties. Often it happens that children want to be like their cartoon hero or so and might get hurt, if they try to be like their hero, and experiment to find out if they are capable of doing the same as their hero or idol. If their idol is raw and cool the children might also want to be like him, so in a way it shapes their personality, which might lead to several other problems. As an example they might not want to do as they are told, because they want to show that they are just as important as adults. It might also prevent them from friendships as they are “too cool” to be with the other children. It has been proven by researches, that the television makes the children less social and more fascinated and addicted to it. Children might also be affected physically, and therefore increase the likelihood of being stricken by sicknesses. Watching television is okay, but regular breaks should be taken. Other programmes might give the children fear of certain objects which normally should not be scary for an ordinary person. Therefore I believe that watching television is acceptable, as long as breaks are taken, and the children still need to have interest in social activities and friendships.
