Oil crisis related questions:

  1. What is the oil crisis?
  2. How has the crisis affected people
  3. What are NGO (nongovernmental groups) and government groups doing to help the situation?
  4. What is the most common alternative of oil?
  5. When will the oil crisis end?

Although oil is an important and “once plentiful” power source. It has been decreasing rapidly, this decrease in oil could devastate the way people live as oil creates pretty much most of home energy and industrial uses. Lately oil prices have risen more than 50%. One of the many reasons oil has risen in price is because:

80% of imported oil is from the Middle East. One country that has a high amount of oil is Iraq, but lately in Iraq a war has occurred.  This has resulted in the U.S armed forces fighting in Iraq. People think that U.S.A invaded Iraq because of the oil reserves, when U.S.A invaded Iraq and took control over the oil reserves since then they have had many terrorist threats. And the companies have had to increase the price of oil because of people lives in jeopardy. The price has also risen due to the scarce amount of oil availability.    Studies show if that people use oil at that constant pace we are now using oil it will end in 75-80 years. So now large oil companies have had to increase the price of domestic oil products so they can keep their profits .Because the price has raised it means consumers have a limited availably of oil because the oil is rising to high for most to afford.

Many nongovernmental and governmental groups such as the U.N have tried to create alternatives of oil. These alternatives have to require some sort of carbon dioxide. The most common variable that has high amount of carbon dioxide is an organic variable such as a plant. That is where biodiesel got its name. Although many people are working on an alternative and have succeed in finding one the government have some times over looked it as the countries producing oil have made a hefty amount of capital from doing so. Europe is the leading biodiesel distributor because the government has created many research labs for the creation of bio diesel, of all the countries of Europe Germany is the leading bio diesel distributor.
