The Oppression of Women
Women still have a long way to go to reach equality in a man’s world.
It is ironic how women the world over are oppressed by the very men who they give life to. Without the wombs of women, men would not even exist. What makes men believe they have authority to rule over women, and impose restrictions upon them?
We are all commanded by the Lord to “love one another, as we love ourselves.” Men would not treat themselves the way they treat women. They posses physical strength over the weakness of female strength. This does not give them permission to over power women to obey their will. God gave men physical strength to protect women, not to abuse and control them.
In some countries male births are welcomed in joy, while female births are rejected, and often aborted before the birth itself. Many new born girls are killed.Only the boys are given value. Women have always been subjected to the rules of men. There have been advances in the areas of justice and equality for women, however, we are still far from achieving that goal. Men continue to manipulate leadership and authority positions.
Women are still paid less than men for doing the same jobs. The criminal justice system continues to be headed by men. Politics has always been controlled by men, although women are now slowly seeping into the field. Men own most of the business world, and women do most of the domestic work the world over.
The Bible speaks of a married couple as being “as one.” So why do so many husbands beat and abuse their wives to their submission? Men dominate the earth. Sex slaves are being trafficked by men all over the globe for profit, and to please the perversion of other men.
Men make the final decisions to start wars. Laws are basically made by males. The most violent of crimes are committed by men. Women are for the most part, treated as second class citizens, put on earth for the pleasure and service to men. Until men throughout the earth learn to treat women with respect, equality and fairness, the curse of chaos will never end.

Excellent. My Sociology Term Paper was titled “We’ve Come a Long Way Baby, But We Are Not There Yet.”

Wonderful article! I could not agree with you more. For some reason, I would rather spend time talking to women than men. Perhaps it is because my father abused me.

Good stuff! If women ruled the world, I think that there would be much more peace and much less hunger. Women are much better at getting stuff done than men.
One of my favourite authors, Neil Anderson, explains the Biblical phrase of women being the weaker vessel: Women are like fine crystal, men are like Tupperware. Women sing, men burp.

I agree but sadly religion has not always been a big supporter of women’s rights. Great article.

Not sure I can agree with this article. As a man, I’ve tried real hard to respect women. I’ve tried to honour them. They really make it difficult. I’ve been paid less than a woman for doing the same job as her, I’ve been asked to leave a flat because I’m a guy (no, I wasn’t doing anything obscene). Some guys get a hard time by women. But we just shrug and move on, like a man.
Try not to tar us all with the same brush. We’re not all evil raping wife beating monsters. I am not a pervert. I’ve tried to encourage women to go into ‘manly’ well paid jobs and they are not interested.
You reap what you sow.
