The Trial That is a Waste of Tax Payer’s Money

The trial of the century is happening in Knoxville Tennessee.  In 2007, four people carjacked, kidnapped, raped, tortured, and killed a young couple.  One person who was considered an accessory after the fact is already serving 18 years in prison.  Yesterday started the trial for one of the others.  The thing is, he has already pled guilty to numerous charges.  However, he says he was not the one to actually kill the couple.

So I guess what I am getting at is, do these animals really even deserve a trial?  Before you say “Of course they do, this is America after all.”, let me tell you what they did to this young couple.  They carjacked them, kidnapped them, took them back to one of their houses and raped the man and woman in every way possible.  They then went on to break the young man’s neck, shoot him three times, take him out to some railroad tracks half naked, and set him on fire.  The young woman they stuffed her into a garbage can making sure she could not breathe so she would suffocate.  And that is where they found her, in the garbage can gagged and bound. 

So, do you still think they deserve a fair trial?  They know they did it, they have all the evidence, and they have the confessions.  Are these actually people or are they animals?  You tell me.

In my own personal opinion…and it is just that my own opinion…they deserve nothing more than to be taken out and hung from the tallest tree by the shortest piece of rope.  To find an impartial jury they had to go over 400 miles to another county.  However, I am not a judge or juror.  I know that in the U.S.A. everyone is innocent until proven guilty through the due process of a fair trial by an impartial jury.  Yet in this case it just seems so much of a waste of tax-payer’s money.  Even if they get the death penalty they will be on death row for at least 20 years.  And during that time the tax-payers will take care of them. 

So where should we call it quits with the “fair trial” stuff.  Right here in situations like this is where.  They should be taken in, put before a judge, and let him sentence them without wasting money that could be going to the health care system or other places that really need it.  Why not take care of the innocent elderly and sick with fair health care instead of taking care of murdering animals.

Therefore, I just wanted to share my opinion on this case.  Please realize that this is only my opinion.  But in the U.S.A. everyone has a right to express have their own and express their opinions just like everyone deserves a fair trial.  So now you know my opinion of cases like this.  You may agree or you may not.  Whichever, just think about what those two young people (oh by the way, they were in their early 20’s) went through before they were slaughtered and burned and thrown in a trash can like nothing but refuse.
