The Willpower of The American People
It has said that the American people’s will is strong. Many foreign governments and individuals have underestimated us. Below, is a video for a Tax Day Tea Party. Is the Federal Government going to make the same mistake?
It has said that the American people’s will is strong. Many foreign governments and individuals have underestimated us in the past.. Below, is a video for a Tax Day Tea Party.
Think about that. Now it seems as those in positions of power in the Federal Government are about to make the same mistake. We, as constituents make it clear we do not want something and it made into law anyway.
How much will we take my fellow citizens? Our founding fathers developed a system of government in order to prevent anymore blood shed in this country. We do not need any type of armed rebellion, we have the perfect system in place to effect change. Our problem is that we send the wrong people to both Washington D.C. and to our respective state capitals.
How much can we take? Cash for Clunkers removed several thousand of cars, that were perfect fits for low income (of which I am a part) Americans, especially college students, high school students and people who just cannot afford the brand new hybrid vehicles (that have highly toxic batteries). They also are getting ready to saddle not only upper class Americans but middle class Americans with higher taxes as well. Universal Health Care as well as Cap and Trade, if passed, will without any doubts increase the tax load. Are you ready for a 35% to 45% if not higher tax rate upon the income that you work hard for? Can you afford a mortgage, car payments, electric bills and other financial requirements?
What will our children say? Every child born right now is in debt to the federal government to the estimated tune of at least 140,000 dollars. They are going to ask us, either at our graves or in person, what were we thinking? How could we drive the greatest nation in the world into poverty to make everyone equal? Men are created equal under God, and should be treated as such. It does not need to be legislated. However, I admit that as Americans we have not always been on the correct side of the issue. Slavery should never been allowed to flourish in the southern states, it did. The civil rights act passed in the 1960’s went a long way to correcting those issues.
Since that time the American left has literally run amok, trying to make everyone “equal.” In doing so, they are committing reverse discrimination against the majority of people in the United States. They give homosexuals “race status” when clearly that condition is not a race because it spans races and ethnic groups. Granted they should be treated equal and not discriminated against, but I do not believe they are a race of human beings. If they want some form of civil union let them have it, please don’t call it a marriage.
If our Declaration of Independence is still valid, and we have the God given rights of Life, Liberty, the PURSUIT (life is a roller coaster of ups and downs, enjoy it) of happiness, and with all men being created equal we do not need to legislate equality, it has been legislated by the Declaration and those rights are unalienable because they come from GOD. God is the supreme creator of us all, whether you refer to him as Allah, God, Lord, Jehovah, Yahweh, Nergal, Ra, Ninurta, Anu, Enki, Enlil or The Mother Goddess. Those rights are ours. Those rights are ours to lose.
The majority of people in Washington want you to believe that you have those rights because of the United States Government, I disagree, those rights are inherent to us all because they come from the God who created us. If we “cling to our religion” and follow what our respective religious materials tell us. We will find ourselves in a different world. I know the majority of religions preach love and acceptance of your human brethren.
Seriously, America. How much will we take? How much can we take? Jobs are still being lost. If jobs are still being lost, I would appreciate it if someone could explain how that makes the economy better? How much much debt can we run up with China before they cut us off? How will we pay for universal health care? How will we afford Cap and Trade? How will we afford a 1.3 trillion dollar budget? How can we look our children in the eye and say that them being born into debt wasn’t our fault? How long will we allow the Federal Government of the United States to underestimate us?
Go to Tea Parties, visit your federal congressional representatives, visit your state congressional representatives. Discuss issues with your neighbors, have neighborhood meetings concerning local, state, and federal issues. That’s a good way to find candidates to send to Washington DC. and to your state capitals. If you don’t know something about or understand an issue, educate yourself. The internet and good old fashioned book reading are excellent ways of learning and understanding the issues.

Great Article! The need for more intellectual discussion concerning our government is very high. Just hope the discussion turns to action before we loose our way of life
